As Muslims Allah has asked us to seek the best of the best; in our personal as well as our professional lives. He has asked us to also do our best so that we have no regrets or no complaints when we meet our Creator. And we should pray to Allah for the best. This includes who we marry
Like all things in Islam that are uncomplicated, marriage too is one of them. A simple Nikah in the presence of witnesses and the man and woman spend the rest of their live together in peaceful matrimony. But how many of us follow the religion for its simplicity? Not many.
Nikah, the act of getting married, is a contract between a man and a woman to live together in togetherness and love with the blessing of Allah. It is one of the most sacred acts that can be carried out between a man and a woman who wish to stay together as husband and wife and is greatly encouraged in Islam.
Marriage in Islam is a life time of commitment, love and understanding. But we must remember that an entire lifetime is a very long time. You can only begin to see the end when the path to the beginning is clear and that is what Allah has asked us to do when we marry.
