Purity of marriage

Purity of marriage - NikahExplorer

In Islam marriage is considered one of the purest forms of all relationships. What does that mean? That means that it is a companionship between a man and a woman who are allowed to live together by the grace and blessings of Allah in a loving and tender relationship.

Purity in marriage also refers to the emotional and physical relationship between the husband and the wife. Both of them should have a loving bond and like Allah has mentioned in the Quran “garments of each other”. The term garments is very important because it not only signifies protection that the spouses give to each other but also the purity of the relationship. They hide each other’s flaws and live together in peace and that makes their relationship pure.

The purity of their relationship in Islam also stems from the comfort level they have with each other and knowing that if they hide each other’s blemishes, they are sure to eventually reach the level of purity in marriage that Allah has enjoined for them. Their relationship will become beautiful because with purity comes beatification.

Purity in marriage also signifies the relationship the couple has with Allah. If the Muslim man and woman are pure in their dealings with each other, have a loving relationship and through their relationship are close to Allah , it will reflect in the blessings that Allah showers upon them. The Holy Prophet (PBUH) said "If anyone likes to meet Allah in purity, then he should meet Him with a wife." Such is the importance of marriage in Islam and the purity it brings to your life and your life in the Hereafter.
