My self-summary

I have been living at Beau Bassin for over 50 years. I attended Royal College, Pot Louis and then studied Agriculture at the now University of Mauritius. My long term goals

To perform Nikah with a lady, a good practising Muslimah.

Things I'm good at and enjoy

Bricolage or do it yourself as I followed a 2-year part time course in Woodworking when I left college. I enjoy photography, gardening, walking to keep me fit. I have followed a part time course on Islamic Sciences during one year and I enjoy increasing my knowledge of Islam.

The first thing people notice about me

My youthful look and healthiness. My readiness to help people in difficulties. I collect Zakaat during Ramadan for Islamic Welfare Foundation since its foundation since 1970.

My family background and values

My father came from UP in India when he was only 3 and grew up and educated in Mauritius. His first 3 sons attended Royal College, Curepipe. The eldest finished his carreer as Minister of Agriculture, the second one was the first Muslim Barrister and became the first Mauitian Governor General. One brother was an Atorney at law, Avoué. My mother's father came from Singapore emigrating from Yemen. My eldest brother bought a plot of land in our village and constructed a masjid. Most of my brothers and sisters have performed Hajj as my mother, some 60 years ago.

What I love most about Islam

Islam is a way of life and not only prayers and rituals. Practising Islam according to the Quraan and Sunnah of our beloved Prophet pbuh is my priority. Islam is universal and I have witnessed this during Hajj and during my visits to foreign countries, from Pakistan to Canada, from Comoros to Malaysia......

Things I'm looking for in a partner

A well balanced pious Muslimah practising deen. A caring companion till death separate us.

You should message me if

You find in me a suitable soul mate and ready to perform Nikah.
