Assalam alaikum. In summary, I make effort to walk in the footsteps of the best of creation (the prophets and the sahabah). I'm not there yet, but I'm on my way, slowly but surely in sha Allah. I have a background in IT & Software Engineering and I currently work as a software developer. But I also love and engage in nature, research, oceanography, psychology, medicine and food production [cat fish, specifically] (long story) :) Details later. Let's save the best for last, yes? ;)
My long term goals
Short term: I'm currently in the process of relocating to Canada. After relocating, in sha Allah, spend a few years working in IT & doing research in alternative natural (prophetic) medicine and food production, and perhaps psychology... Long term: Lecturing in IT, food production or psychology in a higher institution. Getting a diploma in Islamic Studies or Arabic, perhaps from IOU.
Things I'm good at and enjoy
I enjoy research into diverse fields: psychology, medicine, food production, the oceans, history (seerah, etc) etc
The first thing people notice about me
It depends on the gender actually. But they mostly say I'm a good listener and hence can be good company. Some others say they would like to clone my character (or something like that :)... For others, it's my nerd glasses. And a couple others notice the introvert in me who can be clinically detached and may not do a lot of talking most of the time (I'm not exactly very proud of that guy, but he's in there somewhere).
My family background and values
My family is liberal, but I prefer to be sunnah
What I love most about Islam
Islam has all questions answered to the very last detail, and that's amazing.
Things I'm looking for in a partner
I hope to find someone I can communicate with EASILY. I never raise my hand, and I almost NEVER EVER raise my voice, so I'm hoping to continue that way with my spouse. Lastly, I'm looking for someone I can be with in jannah, in sha Allah, someone who practices the sunnah to the best of her ability. By the way, how do you feel about the sunnah of polygamy?
You should message me if
You're ready for marriage now or in the next few months (not years). You especially love the sunnah. You love to seek knowledge, but most importantly, Islamic knowledge. You love kids. You don't have an issue with the sunnah of intimacy [clears throat] :)
