My self-summary
My name is Zaira Fatima Qurashi. I am currently studying to earn my BA in both Psychology and English Literature. I am currently a senior in Brooklyn College. I live in Brooklyn, NY. I am of Hyderabadi Indian descent. My parents would like for me to marry into a Hyderabadi family. I am the oldest of 5 kids. I am not the perfect mulsim but I try and InshaAllah I will become the best Muslim I can be.
My long term goals
InshaAllah, with my degree, I hope to study further and get, at least, my Masters in Psychology (Counseling/Therapy to be exact). With or without a professional degree, I want to able to help teens and adolescents in their life's journey. I want to be there to listen and help them with their lives' adversities. I want to have a big loving family and enjoy the life Allah SWT will bless me with.
Things I'm good at and enjoy
I love to learn and to be able to teach others. I enjoy reading, writing and drawing. I like to think I'm pretty good at writing and drawing. I love to cook and enjoy watching movies. I enjoy laughing and always being happy. I am good at listening and having a good and meaningful conversation with people. I love my family and friends.
The first thing people notice about me
Since I wear hijab, that is probably what people notice about me :) However, I think I give off a friendly vibe, so I hope that my friendliness is something that people notice about me off the bat.
My family background and values
My family means everything to me and keeping family together means a lot to all of us. We all have strong ties to our family back in Hyderabad, India. Islam means a lot to us. We all try our best to be the best Muslims possible and InshaAllah we continue to do so.
What I love most about Islam
No matter what, I know that Allah SWT will always guide me through life and until I don't forsake him, he won't forsake me. Everyone comes and goes but Allah has and will always be there for me. I love the unity and spiritual peace that Islam offers. I love the human being Islam helps everyone become. Praying 5 times a day keeps us focused and forever connected with Allah. I love that, in Islam, you always get a chance to change and become better.
Things I'm looking for in a partner
Someone who loves Islam as much as I do; someone who is patient, funny, understanding and caring. Someone who is family and career oriented. My parents would love a working boy who lives in USA and is from Hyderabad. They are looking for someone from the ages of 24-27.
You should message me if
You think I am a good match for you or anyone in your family.
