I'm am an intelligent, self-motivated, independent woman who works during the day as a Nurse and studies Administration of Justice as my major and African Studies as my minor at a major local university. I am 42 years old, divorced and I have 6 wonderful biracial children who do not live at home currently. I am in the middle of switching careers and I am excited to pursue a new life for myself. And, as a recent revert to Islam, I would love to meet my life partner. Insha Allah
My long term goals
Once I graduate from the university with my Bachelor's in Administration of Justice, my goal is to obtain a challenging and rewarding position in the Criminal Justice field either in a local prison or with the U.S. government because of my prior military background. I would love to be able to use the income that I earn from my new career in order to travel to many foreign countries and territories. Some places that I would love to travel to are Dubai, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Nigeria, Kenya, Sierra Leone, Jamaica, Dominican Republic and Aruba just to name a few. I would also of coarse have a new life partner to share these experiences with and be my travel companion. I want my next marriage to be my last marriage. I want to meet someone that can handle a strong woman and is not intimidated by my strength that I can trust and grow old with. I'm iso an honest, loyal, trustworthy man that I'm not afraid to submit to his leadership because I know that he is a man of good moral character and follows the commands of Allah, as well as, the teachings of Prophet Muhammad PBUH!
Things I'm good at and enjoy
I am good at multitasking and time management. I am a problem solver and a survivor. I know how to suffer through hard times and manage my way out of just about any difficulty. I have many talents although I am not an expert in any area. I enjoy reading non fiction books that are historical, political, or self help in nature. I also, enjoy reading the Quran, Sunna, Torah and Gospels. I am a new revert so I am enjoying learning new Islamic terms and Arabic in relation to the five daily prayers, etc... I have many interests, however some I may have to part with due to my new religious beliefs, however, I love to shoot basketball, watch sporting events like American Football, Basketball, Boxing and sometimes Baseball. I love to dance and sing. I enjoy watching movies based on true stories and documentaries on history, criminal justice and politics. I love to go to the indoor gun firing range to target practice. And most importantly, I love watching my children participate in sports and other extracurricular activities. I love spending time with my family.
The first thing people notice about me
Im very outspoken and opinionated.
My family background and values
I love family and I love children
What I love most about Islam
Learning the truth about Allah. I love the modesty, principals, self discipline and practices.
Things I'm looking for in a partner
I absolutely refuse to settle for a lying, cheating man who is rude and abusive. I want a man that his goal in life is to be a man after Allah's own heart. I need a devout Muslim man that I know is not perfect ( because none of us are), however, he strives everyday to try with his best effort to be a better man and he inspires me to work hard to become a better woman and Muslima! I'm looking for an intelligent, caring, patient, kind, respectful man that I can trust and look up to for spiritual guidance. One who is a leader and is not afraid to assert himself as the MAN of the house, but yet is not abusive. He leads not only by words, but by example. I also love a man that has a good sense of humor.
You should message me if
If the above sounds like you and you are not afraid of taking on the task of a woman that is a new revert then message me. Please understand that I have been a westernized christian for 42 years and I have some things to work on. I have just opened this new chapter of my life approximately two months ago. Please if you drink or do drugs, do not message me. I have no tolerance for guys with addiction problems as far as a relationship is concerned. I work with patients with addictions, however, I don't need that in my personal life.
